Answer: Lencho was a poor farmer whose crops were destroyed by hailstorm. He wrote a letter to God asking for 100 pesos. The postmaster collected some money with the help of his employees and sent it to Lencho. Lencho, however, got angry because the money was less and suspected the post office employees.

Answer: At first, Lencho was happy seeing raindrops like silver coins. But soon hailstones fell for an hour and destroyed the entire crop. The field looked white like covered with salt. His only hope was God’s help.

Question 3. Who was Lencho? Why did he write a letter to God?
Answer: Lencho was a hard-working farmer with a large family. Once the much needed and pleasant rain was followed by very large hailstones and the corn standing in his field was totally destroyed. Nothing was left for the poor Lencho and his family. So, he wrote a letter to God, asking Him for one hundred pesos. The letter was received by a postman and read by the postmaster. The postmaster collected seventy pesos and sent it to Lencho.
